Dr Louise Stone is a General Practitioner (GP) with clinical, research, policy and educational expertise in mental health. She has led Master’s programs in GP psychiatry and completed her PhD exploring the management of patients with medically unexplained symptoms, so she sees many patients with mixed emotional and physical symptoms. Dr Stone is the Deputy Chair of the ACT Health Human Research Ethics committee and is a member of the GP Mental Health Standards Collaboration. She has previously worked at Yarralumla Surgery and The Junction Youth Health Service and writes extensively about GP mental health care in various journals.
