Dr Sarah Chalmers is a Past President of ACRRM (2020-2022) and has worked in East Arnhem Land for 15 years. She has worked in private general practice, hospitals and remote Aboriginal communities and homelands in the Northern Territory, was DMS on Palm Island in NQ and has recently recommenced her work as a Rural Generalist back in NT where she grew up. Dr Chalmers has always been interested in medical education, previously a Senior Lecturer with Flinders University for the Northern Territory Medical Program, then at James Cook University. She has been a supervisor to General Practitioner and Rural Generalist registrars as well as medical students and junior doctors for many years.
