Clinical Innovation and Medical Engagement Lead at St Vincent’s Health Australia
Anthony Barberi is a dual-qualified medical doctor and dentist who has worked in digital health leadership across Australia and the UK, from frontline clinical practice to NHS boardrooms. He is the Clinical Innovation and Medical Engagement Lead at St Vincent’s Health Australia, supporting clinicians to shape new models of care and human-centred adoption of AI.
Having previously held roles as a Chief Clinical Informatics Officer and an NHS Non-Executive Director, his experience traverses from private practice clinical work to metropolitan teaching hospitals to rural and regional health. He advises peak bodies on clinical informatics and digital health, and facilitates global executive programmes in healthcare digital transformation and AI.
The thread that ties his career together is a conviction that good digital systems should improve care whilst disappearing into the background. He is passionate about ensuring organisations deploy AI and digital systems that respect the patient, the clinician, and the beautiful complexities of the real world.
